Lafirynda was born in Poland, and was placed in race training as a filly. After this training, she was sold from the stud and placed with a farmer and his wife. In this life, Lafirynda was broke to the plow and was a farm horse. It was in this situation that she was discovered by Patricia Lindsay of Great Britian who was the first person behind the Iron Curtain to buy Arabians from the Poles since 1913. Lafirynda was imported to England in 1961.
